Fleeting Memories Social Tile

In May of 2024 I was fortunate to be able to show this entire collection together at Gympie Regional Gallery. The exhibition was hung like a calendar and I remember feeling like the audience was walking around inside my brain. The exhibition was opened by the wonderful Kevin Wilson, Curator at the Butter Factory Art Centre in Cooroy. He gave a wonderful speech that I watched a recording of since I was stuck in a massive traffic jam on the notorious Bruce Highway! The event was photographed by Leeroy Todd.

The Big Giveaway

As an extension of the idea that memories were fleeting I decided to give away each image for free ( at the end of the exhibition) to the audience members if they wrote a small note indicating why they liked the piece.

By the exhibitions end, nearly half of the images found new homes and I gathered a lovely little collection of notes about my pieces.

The slide show below will lead you to all the the images that were taken home by the audience along side the notes that they left.

Additional Photos and Videos

These are my photographs and videos - a big thank you to all at Gympie Regional Gallery for granting me permission to bring in my dog Penny who featured in over 100 of the artworks. A thank you also to my friend and fellow artist Nic Jakins for taking our lovely family portrait.
